The three research pillars are technically and conceptually supported by three innovative cross-cutting themes, which enable higher impact and translational activities. As with the research pillars, the cross-cutting themes have been built on pre-existing Hungarian excellence, identifying and applying the technical and technological expertise from both the HCEMM research groups and the participating partner institutions.
