HCEMM project has received grant from Horizon 2020 under the Teaming call H2020-WIDESPREAD-01-2016-2017-TeamingPhase2 to develop a Centre of Excellence. The HCEMM Teaming proposal was one of the 10 proposals selected (out of the 169 submitted) across EU.
The funding call Teaming is part of EU’s strategic program “Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation”. This is a specific program introduced under Horizon 2020, the EU Research and Innovation program for 2014-2020, to respond to the significant internal disparities and sharp differences in terms of research and innovation performance among the member states of the EU and aims to help the transform of dynamics of research in less-research intensive parts of Europe. Teaming programme addresses this challenge by supporting the creation of new centres of excellence or upgrading the existing ones in low R&I performing countries, building on partnerships between leading scientific institutions and partner institutions in low R&I performing countries, that display the willingness to engage together on this purpose. The purpose of the “Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation” program is to introduce specific measures to help low-performing Member States, such as Hungary, Romania, Slovenia or e Czechia etc., to improve their research and innovation performance.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 739593. HCEMM supported by EU Programme: H2020-EU.4.a. – Teaming of excellent research institutions and low performing RDI regions. Project starting date was 1 April 2017.
