  1. Performing high-throughput cell viability screening approach to identify differentially selective drug combinations that can be used to clear resistant pathogens orders of magnitude more efficiently than its susceptible counterpart.

  2. The drug combinations discovered in the screen will be used to select against mobile antibiotic resistance genes and to exploit the resistance mechanism as a weakness by evolving the resistant bacterial populations back to drug sensitive.

  3. Finally, we will also test the feasibility of these drug combinations to maximize pathogen eradication while protecting the host commensal microbiota.
