Researcher

The team studies resected human cortical tissue and differentiated neurons in order to investigate human neuron physiology, molecular biology, and transcriptomics. The team’s particular focus is on identifying species-specific therapeutic targets.

Main responsibilities
  • Electrophysiological investigation of human brain tissue samples
  • Pharmacological analysis of human cortical neurons
  • Performing molecular analysis of human and rodent brain tissue
  • Contributing to experimental planning and execution
Requirements
  • MSc or PhD in biology, biotechnology or a related subject (e.g. physics or chemistry).
  • Working knowledge of English (written and spoken).
  • Motivation and ability to work independently
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in electrophysiology
  • Experience in neuroscience
  • Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams
