The Hungarian Center of Excellence for Molecular Medicine (HCEMM) is a research institution working at the interface of academic and industrial research on topics related to Translational Medicine. Its laboratories are primarily distributed across Budapest and Szeged. HCEMM aims to develop advanced diagnostic and treatment options for healthy ageing through novel applications in the field of Molecular Medicine.

HCEMM places a strong emphasis on nurturing the researchers of the future. We are committed to providing undergraduate students with the opportunity to conduct summer research at the HCEMM. The goal of the program is to encourage students, regardless of nationality, in the pursuit of a scientific career and to introduce them to an international laboratory experience.

HCEMM is looking for BSc and MSc (or equivalent) students from Hungary and beyond and offers the candidates to be immersed in real world research with experts in their field for 4-6 weeks between 1 June and 31 August 2024.

Successful applicants will benefit from:

• Remuneration (assignment contract with the HCEMM): 20h/week
• For non-local students additionally: travel expenses to and from Szeged may be (partially) reimbursed by HCEMM
