Research Technician (half-time)

Research Technician half-time (20h weekly) position is available to work in the HCEMM-In Vivo Imaging Advanced Core Facility, located in Semmelweis University.

We are searching for a highly motivated technician to support research in imaging and animal handling.

The ideal candidate will independently perform a variety of animal immobilisation techniques, anaesthesia and routes of dosing radiopharmaceuticals. Primary reconstruction parametrisation of tomographic data, and image visualisation and storage also features in the tasks. The right candidate will be self-sufficient with basic lab organization and maintenance as well as reagents ordering.

Basic qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of laboratory experience required.
  • Experience and proven track record of handling different open-source radioisotopes and documentation of these tasks is needed
  • Advanced knowledge in using all types of molecular imaging in vivo equipment of at least 5 years.
  • Knowledge of evaluation softwares at a very advanced level is desirable, including Interview Fusion.
